Connie's doel is krachtige schilderijen te maken, met een bepaalde dramatiek.Om dat te bereiken gebruikt ze uitgesproken kleuren met groot licht/donker contrast, zoomt ze in op haar onderwerp en werkt ze op tamelijk groot formaat.
Ze beperkt zich niet wat onderwerpen betreft.
Connie wordt geïnspireerd door organische vormen uit de natuur.. Haar werk is kleurrijk en expressief. Zij houdt ervan dat je de verfstreken nog ziet.
Haar schilderijen zijn bewust luchtig en toegankelijk.
"Mijn werk is wat het is".

Biography

Connie was born in 1957 in Westbroek, a small village near Utrecht where she still lives. She's married and has 4 children. When in highschool, she planned to be an artteacher, but in the end things turned out differently. However she did start to paint  portraits in oil in 1980. From 1990 – 1995 she studied at  “The New Academy” in Utrecht. (Final presentation September 1995) There she  fell in love with acrylics.  She is a fast painter and acrylics suit that perfectly. Her teachers labeled her "Painting Beast" because of her natural talent, her speed and the amount of paintings she made.

She is board member of art club BeeKk.

Her work is kept in collections in The Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, France, Poland, Ireland, Canada, Saudi Arabie, New York and North Carolina.

Connie is geboren in 1957 in Westbroek, een klein dorp bij Utrecht waar ze nog steeds woont. Ze is getrouwd en heeft 4 kinderen. Op de middelbare school had zij het plan tekenleraar te worden, maar uiteindelijk is het daar niet van gekomen. Wel is zij in 1980 portretten gaan maken in olieverf.Van 1990-1995 heeft ze les gehad aan “De Nieuwe Academie” te Utrecht. (Eindpresentatie september 1995) waar zij de liefde voor acryl opvatte. Zij schildert snel en daar past acryl prima bij. Zij werd door haar docenten bestempeld als "Schilderbeest" vanwege haar natuurlijke aanleg, de snelheid van werken en de hoeveelheid.

Zij is bestuurslid van kunstkring BeeKk.

Haar werk bevind zich in collecties in Nederland, Belgie, Duitsland, Canada, Frankrijk, Ierland, Polen, Portugal, Saoudi Arabie, New York en North Carolina.
